Right now I am really getting into Robert Louis Stevenson, but I also really like Amy Tan.
The only thing I do not like about reading his books is that I start to speak differnetly for a while, like adding "says I" or "says he" and the end of a few sentences, as well as a few nautical references in similies.
What about you guys?

We read some stuff by Amy Tan last semester in Honors English. I liked it. But my favorite author would have to be Edith Pattou. She's writing a trilogy called the Songs of Eirren and has two of three books done. They were perfect for me. I like a lot of different authors though, usually not just one.

I adore Laurie Notaro. She's a journalist mostly, but her books are hilarious.
